JJ GROUP (Jazz)

JJ Group

JJ Group is a contemporary jazz band based in Berlin und Seoul, bringing a refined approach to modern jazz that bridges the musical worlds of Germany and Korea. Built on solid, groove-oriented foundations, the band layers intricate melodies and harmonies that unfold with both precision and spontaneity.

At the heart of their sound is a deep commitment to interplay — the dynamic, organic conversations that emerge between musicians in the moment. JJ Group pursues a musical dialogue that is simultaneously structured and free, carefully crafted yet open to the unexpected. Their music seeks harmonic progressions that feel contemplative and bittersweet, while always carrying an undercurrent of hope.

With their debut album Jiyeon Jeon/ Journey Together (released December 2025), JJ Group announces their collective voice to the international jazz scene — a sound shaped by diverse backgrounds and shared vision, exploring the space between compositional precision and improvisational freedom. The result is music that is rhythmically compelling, melodically nuanced, and unmistakably their own.
